Bro. ANGELO of the Blessed Sacrament (Parker) He was a Lancashire man from Bolton, (so closely associated with our Sisters of the Cross and Passion: was it they who fostered his Passionist vocation?). Francis Parker, was the son of Thomas Parker and his wife Ann, whose maiden name was Duggan – so there was an Irish link. He was born in the parish of SS Peter and Paul, on 15th October 1858. He did his Novitiate in Broadway, Worcs., where he was professed on All Saints’ Day, 1878, at the age of 20. At 4 p.m. on 30th August 1883, a telegram arrived at Mt. Argus, which said that Bro. Angelo had died two hours earlier. He had contracted consumption, at the age of 25, and died fortified with the Last Sacraments at St. Joseph’s Retreat, Highgate, London. Sources:- Fr.
