
Brother Malachy of All Saints (Brady) He came from the Parish of Lavey, Stradone, Co. Cavan, was born on 2nd February, 1844, and received the Baptismal name of Owen. He was professed in Broadway, Worcs., on 21st November 1869. Writing 1888, Fr. Salvian Nardocci describes him as ‘very active, and takes great care and interest in any office assigned to him by his superiours (sic). He has been cook in St. Paul’s, Mount Argus and the Community has never had occasion of complaining concerning the way of preparing the food for the Religious. He is very useful in any Retreat where he may be “de Familia”‘. In 1888 he was at Holy Cross, Belfast. He died in St. Paul’s Retreat, Mount Argus, and is buried in our cemetery there, in the 2nd CP grave on the right, and on the side facing the Convent. He shares the grave with Bro. Norbert McFadden.
