To the St Consultors - Nectors - Master of Novices, and to see the Fathers - Students, and Brothers of this Province of St Joseph - Heath and Peace in the Lord. Having obtained the necessary powers, and permission from the Most Neverend Father General to convoke our Provincial Chapter; it is with sincere pleasure and joy of our heart, dearly beloved Brethren, that I come to announce to you the convocation of the Sixth Chapter of this our Province. In compliance, then, with the instructions of our Most Neverend Father General, we hereby appoint the eighteenth day of next June for the Canonical Celebration of our Provincial Chapter, which will take place in our Retreat of St Anne Sutton Lancashire. We request, therefore, all the Capitular Fathers to assemble in the above Retreat no later than the fifteenth of the said Month of June in order to assist at the Indum prescribed by our Moly Rules, and also to be present at the preliminary conferences, which will be held during the three days preceeding the celebration of the Chapter. Having fixed the time, and appointed the place of our Provincial Chapter, we searchly need to re- mind you all, dearly beloved Brethren, of the duty which we all have of praying most fervently to the Almighty God, the Father of Lights, and Giver of all good gifts, to en- lighten the mind, and to strengthen with this Divine grace the hearts of the Capitular Fathers in order that they may bischarge with prudence, wisdom, and fidelity --- Page 2 --- We request, Hereafore, all the Capitular Fathers to assemble in the above Netreat no later than the fifteenth of the said Month of June in order to assist at the Indum preserved by Bur Holy Soles, and also to be present at the preliminary Conferences, which will be held during the three days preceeding the Celebration of the Chapter. Having fixed the time, and appointed the place of our Provincial Chapter, the scarcely need to remind you all, dearly beloved Prethoren, of the duty which we all have of praying most fervently to the Almighty God, the Father of Lights, and Giver of all good gifts, to enlighten the mind, and to strengthen with his Divine grace the hearts of the Capitular Fathers in order that they may discharge with prudence, Wisdom, and fidelity the heavy duties imposed upon them in the new election of Superiors, and in all other Matters --- Page 3 --- relating to the well being of our Province. To this end, bender the prouvers which every Religious will offer up privately, we preserve the following to be received in common by the Community during the time of the Beginning with the first day to the 15th hour afternoon Meditation + 1 Veni Vector Spiritus"2 The Library of the Blessed Virgin with the prouver "Concede Nos"3 Three Paten and Anes. plovier in honour of St Michael - St Joseph, and our Holy Father St Paul of the Cross, with their respective Prayers. On the days of the Visitum, as well as on the day of the opening of the Chapter - All the Students - Lay Brothers and Novices shall receive Holy Communion. We remain the 44 Nectors to bring to the Chapter, bender their "Litterae Patentes" and their Seal of Office, the following Documents. I A Certificate of the faithful celebration of the Masses signed by all the Priests of the House, except Father Nector. II A Certificate of the exact Keeping of the Cresch Anchivium signed by Father Nector, and Vice Nector. III An Inventory of all the good of the House made out under various heads, as for example - Church Lawrenty - House - Library - - IV A Correct financial Statement of the Netreat, giving an abstract of the Income, and Expenditure during the three years of Administration; and stating at the same time, the Amount of Money left in the Deposit, or on any Bank before leaving the House for the Chapter, as also any sum of Money (if any) credited to the House. --- Page 4 --- Religious with offer up privately, we preserve the following to be received in common by the Community during the time of the afternoon Meditation + 1 "Veri Creator Spiritus" 2 The Libany of the Blessed Virgin with the prouger "Concede Nos" 3 Three Paten and Owes. (2) Loans, or monies held without interest (if any) (3) The Outstanding Debts, or Current Bills already in hands, or to come in remaining still unsettled up to the time of leaving Office. And now, Our dearly beloved Brethren, we cannot let pean this opportunity without oppening to you all Our grateful thanks for your heartfelt sympathy toward us in the recent dangerous illness by which it hath pleased Almighty God to afflict us, And still more for your hearty congratulations in our recovery.
